The mood
of a warrior is such that it does not judge, it observes, to place yourselves
in the place of a judge, your perspective would be to see things as good
or bad, right or wrong, enough or not enough. This sets you up to always
have to contend with an either or scinerio, always allowing the possibility
of continually experiencing the negitive. If in your daily life you always
think in terms of "if things were different" or if your focus is predominantly
a state of being discontent, huge amounts of energy is invested, if for
no other reason than just the fact of doing it, takes energy. You
also then need to invest equal amounts of energy in forgiveness. In judging
there is a certian investment of energy and when negitive energy is stored
it produces negitive results. Energy must then be invested in "dealing
with" or in forgiveness to counter act the negitive impact and expel the
negitive energy. As warriors, to become impartial observers gives us access
to otherwise wasted energy. If you don't judge, if you just "see things
as they are without forming an opinion", you save more energy. To be an
active observer means to be in control of your self in the wake of unfolding
events. It allows you a moments pause to think, and evaluate, the situation
within the situaton, as it unfolds instead of reacting to judgements based
soley on previous experience.
